Privacy Policy

Last updated: May 20, 2026

OpenAlchemy provides a distributed inference network exposed as OpenAI-compatible APIs. This Privacy Policy explains what we collect, how we use it, and what we deliberately do not do. Our default posture is to collect the minimum data required to operate the Service.

1. Data we collect

Account data: name, email address, and authentication identifiers used to create and access your account.

Billing data: invoice amounts, currency, billing-period totals, and payment-processor identifiers. Card numbers are handled by our payment processor and are never stored on OpenAlchemy servers.

Usage metadata: per-request metadata required to meter usage, enforce quotas, bill projects, and detect abuse. This includes timestamps, model identifier, token counts, latency, response status, project identifier, and the source domain or IP that issued the request.

Engine telemetry (optional): if you run OpenAlchemy Engine on your machine and opt into the contributor pool, we collect GPU model, available VRAM, runtime version, and job-completion metadata required to credit your account.

2. What we do not collect or store

The body of your API requests (prompts, messages, audio, images, embeddings input) and the body of API responses (completions, embeddings output, audio output, image output) are not persisted on OpenAlchemy infrastructure. Inference traffic transits our routing layer to the worker that executes the job, and the result is streamed back to you.

We do not train any model on your Inputs or Outputs. We do not sell your personal data. We do not share your personal data with advertisers.

3. How we use data

We use the data described above to: operate, secure, and improve the Service; bill your projects and process payments; enforce rate limits and detect abuse; provide customer support; and comply with applicable legal obligations.

4. Sharing and sub-processors

We share limited operational data with infrastructure providers, payment processors, email and authentication providers, and error and observability vendors strictly as needed to operate the Service. Each is bound by contractual confidentiality and data-protection obligations.

GPU workers in the distributed network execute inference jobs on your behalf. Inference traffic is transient and is not persisted on worker machines by the runtime. You remain responsible for selecting a model and routing pool appropriate for your sensitivity tolerance, and for submitting only Inputs you are comfortable processing on third-party infrastructure.

5. Data retention

Account and billing records are retained for the longer of (a) the lifetime of your account plus a reasonable wind-down period, or (b) the retention period required by applicable tax, accounting, and anti-fraud laws. Usage metadata is retained for billing reconciliation and abuse prevention, then aggregated or deleted.

6. Security

We use industry-standard administrative, technical, and physical safeguards designed to protect personal data. No system is perfectly secure. You are responsible for safeguarding your account credentials and API keys; notify us promptly at support@openalchemy.io of any suspected compromise.

7. International transfers

OpenAlchemy operates a global GPU network. Data may be processed in jurisdictions other than the one in which you reside, including jurisdictions whose data-protection laws differ from your own. By using the Service you consent to such international processing.

8. Your rights

Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have rights to access, correct, port, or delete your personal data, to object to or restrict certain processing, or to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority. To exercise these rights, contact support@openalchemy.io.

9. Children's privacy

The Service is not directed to children under 16 and we do not knowingly collect personal data from children under 16. If you believe a child has provided us with personal data, contact us and we will delete it.

10. Changes to this Policy

We may update this Policy from time to time. The "Last updated" date at the top reflects the most recent revision. Material changes will be announced through the Service or by email to your account address.
